ILCL OPAC for Kids now available

【2012-E002】

On January 6th, 2012, the National Diet Library (NDL) started full-fledged service of a new search system, ILCL OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) for Kids, which assists children to search open / closed access books of the International Library of Children’s Literature (ILCL).

Aimed mainly at elementary school students, the OPAC with the free-word / theme-based search is youth-friendly. Child visitors can access the OPAC through the touch screen computers in the ILCL. Through the Internet, the OPAC service is available at home or in schools.

The ILCL hopes this OPAC will be used for education on library-use in schools and libraries.
