2009.5.5 “Kodomo no Kuni magazine article search”
added to the Picture Book Gallery
The new content "Kodomo no Kuni magazine article search" is a database which offers digital images of the picture magazine “Kodomo no Kuni”.

This time, about 1,600 images from “Kodomo no Kuni” which proved to be copyright-free will be available.

The picture magazine
The picture magazine was a multicolored magazine for children. It carries a picture on every page. In Japan, it was published regularly from the beginning of the 20th century when early childhood education was attracting attention.
“Kodomo no Kuni”
“Kodomo no Kuni” was published monthly from January 1922 (Volume 1, Number 1) to March 1944 (Volume 23, Number 3) by Tokyo-sha, 287 volumes in all.
