Commentary

This is a story about Toshio, who is often called "Dojio", as he discovers his skill in making things and starts to develop self-confidence. The book is based on the picture book creator's own childhood experiences of being bad at sport and exercise. The end of the book includes instructions on how to make the rocket-shaped kite which Toshio makes during the story.
