Commentary

This is a work about the summer vacation of a little girl named "Umi" who lives with her father in a small house in the forest. The creator made this work he lived in a Zen temple lodge in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, and based the main character on his own daughter. The dark blue base tones are meant to represent the color of a river a night.
