Commentary

This is the story of a boy who experiences the horror of earthquakes and tsunami, and how he must come to accept the death of his grandfather, who went out fishing at the time of the earthquake and never returned, and eventually finds hope again. The creator has made many picture books which tackle social issues and created this work to prevent the memory of the earthquake from fading.
