Children’s Books in the Victorian Era; from the Winnington-Ingram Collection

The Winnington-Ingram Collection, one of the special collections of the International Library of Children’s Literature, consists of about 1,200 items of British children’s literature published mainly from the 18th to the 20th century.

In this exhibition, about 60 works of various genres from the 19th century are displayed, showing the process of the development of modern British children’s literature and introducing the fascination of the children’s books which flourished in the Victorian Era.
