On the Exhibition "All Aboard! For a Trip around Books on Vehicles" : materials lent from the Railway Museum

From July 2009 to February 2010, the ILCL held the exhibition, "All Aboard! For a Trip around Books on Vehicles." In this essay, Michio Sato, the supervisor of the exhibition, describes materials displayed for the audience's reference: a model car and train, materials about past school trips, and teaching materials made by the former Transportation Museum.
"Book Castle," a place to link books, children and adults

Fumiko Ganzenmüller was a staff member of the East Asian division, International Youth Library (IJB), one of the biggest children's libraries in the world. For years, she collected and classified children's books and arranged many exhibitions and events, cooperating with other related institutions. In this essay, she reviews the circumstance leading up to the foundation of the IJB and introduces its various multifaceted and experimental activities.
