2017年ボローニャ・ラガッツィ賞の受賞者決定

2017年4月3日から6日まで、世界最大の児童書の見本市であるボローニャ・ブックフェア（Bologna Children’s Book Fair）が開催される。毎年、同フェアには、出版社、作家、画家、翻訳家、著作権エージェント、印刷・流通関係者、書店員、図書館員、テレビ番組・映画製作者などが訪れ、版権の売買のほか、児童書をめぐる最新の動向についての情報交換が行われる。

54回目を迎える本年は、絵本原画展主賓国であるカタルーニャが “Sharing a Future: Books in Catalan in Bologna 2017（ともに描く未来: カタルーニャの子どもの本）” をテーマにイベントを開催するほか、2016年に国際アンデルセン賞を受賞したロートラウト・ズザンネ・ベルナー（Rotraut Susanne Berner）の展示や、しかけ絵本の展示 “Pop-up show: the magic inside books（飛びだす絵本: 本の中の魔法）”、ワークショップ、ボローニャ・ラガッツィ賞（BolognaRagazzi Award）の受賞者の紹介が行われる。絵本原画コンクール入選作品の展示会は、ブックフェア終了後、日本各地の美術館を巡回する予定である。英国の読書推進団体である BookTrust は、海外の作品を英国の出版社に紹介する取組として6～12歳向けの優れた児童書を10作品展示し、出版が決まった場合には助成を行う。

2017年のボローニャ・ラガッツィ賞は、フィクション、ノンフィクションの両部門は、2015年1月から2017年1月までの間に出版された本、ニューホライズン部門は、2014年1月から2017年1月までの間にアラブ、ラテンアメリカ、アジア、アフリカの出版社から出版された本、オペラプリマ部門は、2016年1月から2017年1月までの間に出版された作家・画家の第一作、「本と種」賞（Books & Seeds）は農業や食物をテーマに2015年1月から2017年1月までに出版された本、ボローニャ・ラガッツィ・デジタル賞は、2016年1月から2017年1月までの間に発表されたアプリケーションが対象となった。本年は、過去10年間に出版された本を対象として、「アートの本」賞が新たに設けられた。
