2018年ボローニャ・ラガッツィ賞の受賞者決定
2018年3月26日から29日まで、世界最大の児童書の見本市であるボローニャ・ブックフェア（Bologna Children’s Book Fair）が開催される。毎年、同フェアには、出版社、作家、画家、翻訳家、著作権エージェント、印刷・流通関係者、書店員、図書館員、テレビ番組・映画製作者などが訪れ、版権の売買のほか、児童書をめぐる最新の動向についての情報交換が行われる。
55回目を迎える本年は、絵本原画展主賓国の中国が “Dream”（夢）をテーマに掲げ、中国の伝統的な景色や庭を再現した空間に、30人の中国の画家による原画147点を展示する。またワークショップやボローニャ・ラガッツィ賞（BolognaRagazzi Award）の受賞者の紹介のほか、建築・デザインの本に関する国際会議等が行われる。絵本原画コンクール入選作品の展示会は、ブックフェア終了後、日本各地の美術館を巡回する予定である。
2018年のボローニャ・ラガッツィ賞は、フィクション、ノンフィクションの両部門では、2016年1月から2017年12月までの間に出版された本、オペラプリマ部門では、2017年1月から12月までの間に出版された作家・画家の第一作、「本と種」賞（Books & Seeds）では、農業や食物をテーマに2016年1月から2017年12月までに出版された本、「アートの本」賞（Art - Architecture & Design）では、2007年1月から2017年12月までの間に出版された本、ボローニャ・ラガッツィ・デジタル賞では、2017年1月1日から2018年1月29日までの間に発表されたアプリケーションおよびウェブコンテンツが対象となった。本年は、同賞に映画・創造的メディアアプリ部門が新たに設けられた。また、これまでアラブ、ラテンアメリカ、アジア、アフリカの出版社から出版された本を対象としてきたニューホライズン部門は、国を問わず受賞できるようになった。
