The Horn Book「2025年夏におすすめの本」

2025年4月30日（水）、米国の児童書評誌 The Horn Book は、2025年夏の読書におすすめの本 “2025 Summer Reading List” を公開した。「絵本」（Picture Books）、「幼年・低学年向け」（Beginning Readers and Primary Grades）、「中・高学年向け」（Intermediate）、「中学生向け」（Middle School）、「高校生向け」（High School）の部門ごとに各13冊が掲載されている。

リストの「絵本」には、“Your Farm” “Your Forest” “Your Island”（邦訳『これは　のうじょう』『これは　もり』『これは　しま』）や日本語から翻訳された “Downpour: Splish! Splash! Ker-splash!”（原書『どしゃぶり』）、「幼年・低学年向け」にはアフリカ系米国人の音楽を紹介した “How Sweet the Sound”、「中学生向け」には、2024年全米図書賞児童文学部門を受賞した “Kareem Between”、 「高校生向け」には、映画化もされた ”Mortal Engines”（邦訳『移動都市』）の前日譚となる “Thunder City” などが紹介されている。
