2026年プリンツ賞の受賞作品決定

2026年1月26日（月）、米国図書館協会（American Library Association: ALA）の一部門であるヤングアダルト図書館サービス協会（Young Adult Library Services Association: YALSA）は、プリンツ賞（Michael L. Printz Award）の受賞作を発表した。同賞は、前年に出版された優れたヤングアダルト文学に与えられる。

受賞作品

Legendary Frybread Drive-In: Intertribal Stories: Cynthia Leitich Smith 編

編者であるSmithをはじめ、新人からベテランまで、様々な地域の先住民の作家17名による、各話がゆるやかに関連した短編集である。時も場所も越えて現れ、フライブレッド（米国先住民に広く食されている揚げパン）等を提供する不思議なドライブインを舞台に、十代の若者が先祖や他の先住民コミュニティの人たちと出会い、人生や愛やアイデンティティについて考える姿が描かれている。

Smith は先住民のマスコギー（ムスコギー）にルーツがあり、先住民の祭りパウワウをテーマにしたアンソロジーも編集している。

なお、次点作品にあたるプリンツ賞オナーブックには、以下の4作品が選ばれた。
