The Horn Book「2026年夏におすすめの本」

2026年4月29日（水）、米国の児童書評誌 The Horn Book は、2026年夏の読書におすすめの本 “2026 Summer Reading List” を公開した。「絵本」（Picture Books）、「幼年・低学年向け」（Beginning Readers and Primary Grades）、「中・高学年向け」（Intermediate）、「中学生向け」（Middle School）、「高校生向け」（High School）の部門ごとに各13冊が掲載されている。

リストの「絵本」には、“A Family Is a Family Is a Family” “A Kid Is a Kid Is a Kid”（邦訳 『わたしのかぞくみんなのかぞく』 『じぶんのきもちみんなのきもち』）の作者サラ・オレアリーによる “A Friend Is a Friend Is a Friend”、「幼年・低学年向け」には” Creepy Carrots!“ ”Creepy Pair of Underwear!“（邦訳『きょうふのおばけにんじん』 『きょうふのおばけパンツ』）と同じシリーズの “Troubling Tonsils!”、 「中・高学年向け」には、米国のバスケットボールの歴史をたどる “Basket Ball: The Story of the All-American Game”、 「中学生向け」には、1980年代のウクライナで子ども時代を過ごした作者の自伝的な漫画 “Chernobyl, Life, and Other Disasters: A Graphic Memoir”、「高校生向け」には、『移動都市』シリーズの続編 “Bridge of Storms” や2026年プリンツ賞を受賞した “Legendary Frybread Drive-In: Intertribal Stories” などが紹介されている。
